Hoboken Dance Fest is held every Monday starting July 15. DanceFest is brought to you by Hoboken Alliance and Hoboken Cultural Affairs. Produced by Sarah Weber-Gallo and Ken Pilates.

This coming summer, Ashley Daigle has the honor of teaching ballet for the New York University Tisch Summer High School Program. This is Ashley’s fourth year teaching for the program!
Students focus on technical training, choreography, and performance. The four-week rigorous program provides technical practice and students create new dance compositions while learning existing repertory from established New York City-based dance artists. Newer areas of dance research, like kinesiology and dance science, are explored. Students will share their own compositions with faculty in weekly showings. Students will live in a residence hall on campus in Greenwich Village, New York City. This program culminates in six college credits.

Ashley Daigle will create a new work in five days for Burklyn Ballet Theater’s 2024 Season. Ashley attended Burklyn Ballet Theatre as a student for over six summers, she was a Counselor for the program during her collegiate years. She was later then promoted to Resident Choreographer during her time in graduate school and now has been granted the title of Master Teacher. This will be Ashley’s fourth year as BBT’s Contemporary Master Teacher.

This is Ashley Daigle’s third year teaching for Mile Square Theatre (MST). Ashley teaches a total of 17 dance classes at MST and this past year she had the honor of teaching the second level of composition at MST (Performance Group 2 ). Every Monday and Wednesday night since September, Ashley worked with four new choreographers to teach them the art of composition. In June of 2024, all of their hard work was showcased in their final production titled, “Four Beats.”

This upcoming spring semester, Ashley Daigle has the honor of teaching Danc 202: BALLET I and Danc 302: BALLET II for Wesylan Univeristy Dance of Department.
The Dance Department at Wesleyan is a contemporary program with a global perspective. The curriculum centers on the creative act—imagining, making and doing. Our program is interdisciplinary, embodied, collaborative, physically and intellectually rigorous, and fosters personal and social transformation.
